On June 17, 2013, shortly before 4am, Carman RCMP, the local Fire Department and EMS were dispatched to a fire at a senior’s lodge in Carman.
RCMP report that the fire was confined to the interior of the facility on the second floor. The residents of that floor were evacuated and transported to other facilities.
Police say that the fire was extinguished and there were no reports of injuries or fatalities. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner and Carman RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
