On June 26, 2013 Stonewall RCMP, with the assistance of the Winnipeg Police Service, responded to a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Roy Roche Drive and Inkster Boulevard in the RM of Rosser.
Early investigation indicates a westbound vehicle on Inkster Boulevard was observed being driven in an erratic manner, resulting in a collision with an eastbound pick-up truck that was stopped at the traffic light at Inkster and Roy Roche Drive. The impact of that collision sent the pickup into another pickup truck stopped in traffic.
The driver of the car, identified as a 97-year-old Winnipeg woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Others involved suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
A medical emergency has not been ruled out as the contributing factor to this collision. Stonewall RCMP with the assistance of an RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
