On July 13, 2013, at 10pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP and local emergency were dispatched to a fatal off-road vehicle collision in the RM of Portage la Prairie.
Investigation indicates that an adult male was operating a 2004 Polaris 4-wheel ATV when he collided with some irrigation equipment.
Police say that the rider, a 51-year-old man from Winnipeg, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The rider was reported to have been wearing a helmet.
