On July 27, 2013, at approximately 7:30pm, Grand Rapids RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of an assault that had occurred at Beardy’s Point in Grand Rapids, Manitoba. Three adult males were reported to have been assaulted at the location, only one required treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Grand Rapids RCMP, with the assistance of the Winnipeg RCMP Serious Crime Unit, the Winnipeg and Thompson RCMP Major Crime Units, Winnipeg Integrated Gang Intelligence Unit (IGIU), North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) and The Pas RCMP are actively investigating the complaint.
As a result of this ongoing investigation, Elijah Constant, 32, Brenden Scott, 34, Nazareth Nazakapow, 30, and Rolland Carpenter, 27, have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault for their alleged involvement. All four men are residents of Grand Rapids and will be appearing in The Pas Provincial Court.
