On August 8, 2013, at 3am, Treherne RCMP and the St. Claude Fire Department responded to a fire at a former St. Claude business on First Street in St. Claude. Police say the building used to be a restaurant, motel and bar.

RCMP arrived on scene and found the vacant structure fully involved in flames.
RCMP and OFC investigators were on scene. Damage estimates are not currently available. Police say that the structure is a complete write-off.
RCMP report that there were no injuries in this incident and that nobody was in the structure at the time of the fire.
The investigation into the cause continues with the assistance of the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner.
