On August 11, 2013, at 11:30am, Steinbach RCMP received a report of mischief to a cornfield south of McKenzie Avenue, which had occurred earlier in the morning between approximately 2am-3am.

Thanks to particulars provided by a witness to the incident, the suspects and suspect vehicle were located at a local car wash attempting to remove the evidence of the damage they had caused.
RCMP report that two suspects were arrested at which time immediately admitted to their involvement in the incident. One man is a 21-year-old Steinbach resident, the other is a 21-year-old resident of Niverville.
Police say that alcohol was a factor in this incident.
