On August 10, 2013, at about 8pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP and the Whitemouth Fire Department were dispatched to a vehicle fire, about 3km south of Highway 44 on Julius Road in the RM of Reynolds.
RCMP arrived on scene and found a pick-up truck on fire in the ditch. The fire was put out by the fire department and a deceased individual was found inside the vehicle.
Early police investigation suggests that the vehicle was traveling south on Julius Road when the driver lost control in a curve, hit a tree and caught on fire.
RCMP report that the deceased has been tentatively identified as a 47-year-old RM of Reynolds resident. The investigation into what lead to the collision continues.
