A 52-year-old man from The Pas is facing numerous drug and firearms related charges after being arrested by police earlier this month.
On August 16, 2013, The Pas RCMP, with the assistance of the RCMP North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team and Thompson RCMP Police Dog Services, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the Town of The Pas.
During the course of the search, police seized approximately two ounces of cocaine, five pounds of marijuana, over $6,000 in cash and a firearm.
RCMP report that a 52-year-old man from The Pas was arrested on scene and later released from custody. The man is scheduled to appear in The Pas Provincial Court on October 7, 2013 and is facing a number of charges including two counts of possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possessing the proceeds of crime and multiple firearms related charges.
