On August 24, 2013, at 8:10am, Turtle Mountain Area RCMP and area EMS were dispatched to a two vehicle collision near Belmont at the intersection of Calpoint Road and an unmarked gravel road.

Investigation revealed the driver of a car was going westbound on an unmarked gravel road, proceeded through the intersection (with a stop sign), when he was T-boned by a northbound pick-up truck on Calpoint road.

Police say that the driver of the car, identified as a 44-year-old male of Belmont, was airlifted to Winnipeg for medical treatment with undetermined injuries. The driver of the pickup had minor injuries.
