On August 27, 2013, just after 11:30am, Stonewall RCMP and local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal single-vehicle rollover on Road 1, west at the junction of Road 83 north in the RM of Woodlands.
Initial investigation indicates a 2000 Chrysler Sebring with two occupants was traveling south on Road 1 west when it left the roadway, rolling over at least once.
Police say that the 18-year-old male driver was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries. The 39-year-old male passenger was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Both driver and passenger are from Winnipeg.
RCMP report that there were no other persons or vehicles involved and that an RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst will be assisting with the ongoing investigation.
