On September 19, 2013, Theodore Warren Ducharme, a 48 year old resident from the RM of La Broquerie, was arrested and charged by The Pas RCMP in connection to a marijuana grow operation. The arrest was made after police executed a search warrant on a property in The Pas, Manitoba.
With the assistance of Steinbach RCMP and Winnipeg Drug Section members, a second search warrant was conducted on a related rural property in the RM of La Broquerie on Friday, September 20, 2013 and additional marijuana plants were located at that location.
RCMP report that in total between the two properties, 250 marijuana plants have been seized by police and a number of Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and firearms related charges are pending.
