With assistance from the public and from review of several hours of video surveillance, Steinbach RCMP were able to identify a man and vehicle involved in a recent suspicious male investigation.
RCMP located the suspect, a 65-year-old Winnipeg man, last week in Steinbach and took him into custody as part of the investigation. After review of the circumstances and discussion with the family involved in the incident, criminal charges against the man were not believed to be appropriate and he was subsequently released. He agreed to a number of conditions upon his release, including to discontinue loitering in any public areas for long periods of time and to avoid physical contact with persons not known to him.
