At approximately 8:45pm on October 8, 2013, Portage la Prairie RCMP received a report of a robbery at the Co-op Gas Bar on Provincial Highway 350 in MacGregor, Manitoba. Portage la Prairie Police Dog Service attended with Portage la Prairie RCMP and assisted in the investigation.
Investigation revealed that three males entered the gas bar, each wearing a balaclava. One suspect was brandishing a crow bar and the other two brandishing what appeared to be metal pipes. The suspects demanded the staff members give them the money from the cash register. Once obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, the suspects fled from the building. No injuries were reported.
The suspects are described as male. One suspect was wearing bright orange shorts and a dark hoodie, while the other two were wearing dark colored pants and dark hoodies.
Police were unable to locate the suspects and Portage la Prairie RCMP continue to investigate. Anyone with information about this incident are asked to contact the Central Plains RCMP at 857-4445 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
