The City of Steinbach would like to advise residents that the weigh station scale building located at the Steinbach Landfill is currently experiencing technical difficulties. As a result of these problems, Landfill staff can only accept cash payment for tipping fees. Visa, MasterCard and Interac services are currently unavailable.
The City reports that the service issue resides with the fibre optic connection between the main Landfill building and the weigh station building. Testing on the fibre optic cable has been completed, however, repairs may take several days.
