On October 16, 2013, at about 6:45pm, Cross Lake RCMP were notified that a 6-year-old girl was playing outside her residence when an unknown male subject in a pick-up truck approached her and told her to come to his truck. The unknown male exited his vehicle and attempted to grab the girl by her back. She managed to escape and ran into her residence.
The individual is described being heavyset, no facial hair, short hair, wearing a black jacket and a black hat with a sign on it. The vehicle is described as being an older pick-up truck, red or burgundy in colour.

Parents are urged to call the RCMP right away if anything suspect is brought to their attention. Kids are encouraged to always walk with a buddy and stay away from secluded areas.
