The City of Steinbach’s Parks and Recreation staff is putting the finishing touches on some new play structures at Wes Reimer Park, located off Ash Avenue.
The structures, which include a climbing wall, three slides and a saucer swing, was made possible through a generous donation from the family of the late Wes Reimer, the park’s namesake.
Daughters, Colleen Harmon and Allison Nebel, contacted the City in June about upgrading the park’s playground equipment, which was installed in the 1970’s, and was ready to be updated. The donation is in honor of their father who was a former Steinbach Mayor, prominent business man and life-long resident.
The City would like to thank Colleen and Allison for their wonderful contribution to the community that Steinbach families will enjoy for many years to come!
