On October 16, 2013, shortly before 7am, East St. Paul RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of an assault outside a residence in the RM of West St. Paul.
Police learned that the victim, identified as a 53-year-old male elected official, was assaulted by two individuals outside his residence. The culprits fled the area after the assault.
RCMP report that the victim was taken to a Winnipeg Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made to date and the investigation into this matter continues. Anyone with information is asked to call the East St. Paul RCMP at 204-667-6519.
