On October 22, 2013, just before 8am, Central Plains RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 1 near the Assiniboine River bridge, east of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Portage la Prairie Fire Department and EMS also attended.
Police investigation revealed that a 2005 Toyota Rav 4 was traveling west on Highway 1, lost control and rolled into the ditch. The rollover was a result of icy road conditions.
RCMP report that all four occupants in the vehicle were from Winnipeg. They were transported to hospital with what were reported to be non life threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate.
