Manitobans looking for beautiful vacation land now have an opportunity to choose from among 140 cottage lots, including 70 waterfront and lake-view lots in existing subdivisions across the province, through the province’s cottage lot draw program. This announcement was made by Conservation and Water Stewardship Minister Gord Mackintosh.

“The cottage lot draw program continues to allow Manitobans to own one of these recreation properties and head out of the city to relax in our beautiful wilderness,” said Mackintosh. “This is an opportunity to purchase or lease one of the 140 lots that were previously purchased or leased but were returned to the province.”

To be part of the draw and receive a lot selection number, individuals must submit their applications either in person or by mail by 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21 to the Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship office at 200 Saulteaux Cres., Winnipeg, MBĀ  R3J 3W3.

The minister noted that Manitobans have the first selection to purchase one of an additional 23 backtier Crown cottage lots at Bay River north of Winnipeg through the first-come, first-served program.

“Our partnership with Fisher River Cree Nation has provided a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of paradise in cottage country along Lake Winnipeg,” said Mackintosh.
