On November 8, 2013, shortly before 8:30pm, Stonewall RCMP, Lundar RCMP along with area EMS and Fire were dispatched to a four vehicle collision on Highway 6 near Highway 411 in the RM of Woodlands.
RCMP have learned that a 26-year-old man from The Pas was traveling north. While attempting to pass a semi-trailer, he collided head-on with a truck, driven by a 48-year-old man from the RM of Woodlands. A car then ran into the back of the truck and an SUV then collided with the truck.
Police say that both the 26-year-old and the 48-year-old drivers perished in the collision. Five additional people, three adults and two young children, were treated for minor injuries and released.
Stonewall RCMP with the assistance of a RCMP Traffic Analyst continue to investigate.
