Officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP continue to investigate an attempted robbery that occurred this past Wednesday evening around 10:45pm.
Police say that a woman was walking alone on 2nd Avenue S.W. when two males approached her and demanded she give them her purse. The woman refused to turn over her purse and defended herself. She was then physically assaulted a number of times before her assailants were scared off. The two males were least seen running south from the scene.
One of the males was wearing a black hoodie with a beige coloured bandana covering his mouth and the other was wearing a sweater with a dark coloured scarf partially covering his face.
RCMP report that the victim was taken to hospital and treated for her injuries.
