On November 15, 2013, shortly after 6:30pm, RCMP East District Traffic Services and local EMS were dispatched to a hit and run on Pembina Highway at the Perimeter.
Police learned that the driver of a H2 Hummer had collided with a van, then continued forward and collided with another van. The Hummer stopped and the occupants were assisted to the median. However at one point, the male suspect returned to the Hummer and left the scene, driving northbound on Pembina Highway.
Police say that occupants of both vans were not injured. However, the female occupant of the Hummer was transported to local hospital with injures sustained in an incident leading up to the motor vehicle collision. The male and female occupants of the Hummer are known to each other and had been drinking prior to the collision.
RCMP report that Gregory Misner, 29, of Winnipeg was charged with dangerous operation of motor vehicle, impaired driving of motor vehicle and assault. Misner was remanded and will appear in Winnipeg court.
