On May 4, 2009, the Steinbach RCMP received a report that the Canada Post Office located on Main Street in New Bothwell was broken into sometime over the weekend.
Forced entry was gained into the Post office through the public Mailbox area by kicking open an office door. Once inside the Post Office a second door was forced open which leads to a second business namely Hanover Grinding. Several electronic items were taken from both businesses along with an undisclosed amount of cash, approximately $1600.00 worth of Canadian postage stamps and personal mail.
Steinbach RCMP continue to investigate this matter. No further information available at this time.
