On November 24, 2013, just after 10am, Selkirk RCMP and area EMS were dispatched to a report of a male subject who had fallen off his snowmobile.
Initial police investigation indicates that a 42-year-old man from the RM of St. Andrews was operating his snowmobile and slowly veered off the trail into some reeds in the ditch.
RCMP report that upon arrival the man had been responsive, however, his condition grew worse which led to the paramedics commencing CPR. Attempts to revive the male subject were unsuccessful.
Police say that the rider was wearing a helmet at the time he fell from the snowmobile.
