Shortly after 11am on November 24, 2013, police were advised of a death in the Community of Garden Hill First Nation. RCMP Officers from the Island Lake Detachment were dispatched to the scene and are currently investigating the death of a man.

Island Lake RCMP were assisted by the RCMP Serious Crime Unit, the RCMP Forensic Identification Section, RCMP Major Crime Unit and additional resources.

The investigation is ongoing.
