Steinbach Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The Carillon, are launching its first ever community-wide Black Friday Weekend of shopping extravaganza. This event will be showcasing Steinbach’s wide variety of merchants as a destination for shoppers. Taking place on November 28 to 30, over 40 participating merchants will offer shoppers spectacular savings in hopes of keeping them not only north of the US border but also outside of the perimeter highway as well.
“The success of the 2012 event in Selkirk was one of the factors that brought the idea to The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce,” said Chamber Executive Director Linda Peters. “We approached the Selkirk Biz Executive Director about how they ran their promotion, and were pleased to learn their community will be having an event again this year. What makes one community strong makes others stronger as well.”
The Black Friday Weekend is exclusive to Chamber members with all promotional items and marketing provided for them. Participating merchants also contribute a prize towards the Black Friday Prize Package, now worth in excess of $4,000. With their Black Friday Passports in hand, shoppers can have them validated as they shop. The completed passports will then be entered and one lucky shopper will have the opportunity to win the grand prize package.
