On November 28, 2013, shortly before 1:30pm, Blue Hills RCMP along with area EMS and Fire were dispatched to a single semi-trailer collision on Highway 1A at the Kemnay Bridge near Brandon, Manitoba.

Early police investigation shows the driver was westbound on Highway 1A when he misjudged the height of the bridge and collided into it. Details of the cargo are unavailable at this time and nobody one was injured in the collision.
Manitoba Motor Carrier Enforcement and Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation were also on scene.
