On December 4, 2013, shortly before 5:30pm, Steinbach RCMP were dispatched to a single semi-trailer which had slid into the ditch and was blocking both eastbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway.

Police diverted traffic for approximately 2 hours while a local towing company cleared the semi-trailer from the roadway.

RCMP report that there were no injuries and that the semi-trailer was able to drive away from the scene.
