On December 24, 2013, shortly after 7:30am, RCMP East District Traffic Services along with local fire and EMS responded to motor vehicle collision on Highway 101 at Highway 8.
Police investigation suggests that two vehicles collided, both traveling west, after one of the vehicles veered over into the other lane. One of the vehicles ended up in the ditch, while the other vehicle came to rest on its side in the westbound passing lane.
RCMP report that both vehicles had lone occupants with only minor injuries sustained.
Blowing snow and low visibility were contributing factors in this collision. RCMP advise motorists to adjust their driving for the weather conditions by slowing down, driving with caution and increasing your distance between other vehicles.
