A 22-year-old woman has died after falling off the back of a snowmobile this past weekend while traveling through community of Pukatawagan.
On January 12, 2014, shortly after 6pm, Pukatawagan RCMP received a report from the Nursing Station that a female had been brought in unresponsive with life-threatening injuries.
Initial police investigation indicates that a 22-year-old female from Pukatawagan was with a group of people traveling through the community of Pukatawagan, when she fell off the back of a snowmobile and was struck by a quad that was following closely behind. The female was transported to the local nursing station where she was pronounced deceased.
Police say that the female rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
An RCMP traffic reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation, both speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors.
