On January 17, 2014, at approximately 10:30am, The Pas RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision just south of The Pas on Highway 10.
Police say that a northbound and southbound vehicle collided head-on. A 55-year-old male passenger in the southbound vehicle and a 49-year-old female passenger in the northbound vehicle were pronounced deceased. A 56-year-old female passenger in the southbound vehicle was taken to hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
RCMP report that there were a total of four people in the northbound vehicle and three in the southbound vehicle. The remaining people involved in the collision were taken to hospital and are in stable condition.
An RCMP traffic reconstructionist is assisting in the ongoing investigation. Alcohol is not considered a factor in this collision.
