Keystone Agricultural Producers’ annual meeting will take place next week, Wednesday to Friday at the Delta Winnipeg, when delegates from across the province will gather to debate and pass policy that will guide KAP through 2014 and beyond.

Elections will also take place for president and two vice-presidents.

Guest speakers this year include columnist and author Diane Francis, former Winnipeg Blue Bomber Doug Brown, and local CBC meteorologist John Sauder.

Francis will discuss her recent book, Merger of the Century, in which she makes a political and business argument to merge Canada and the U.S. Brown will speak at the annual banquet about the importance of teamwork, and Sauder will provide a look at what Manitoba’s weather holds.

Other highlights include panel discussions on both western Canadian agriculture and the state of provincial politics.

The meeting starts at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday and concludes at noon on Friday.
