A local drug trafficker, known to actively sell marijuana to local high school students in the Town of Gimli, has been arrested and is facing drug trafficking charges.
On January 31, 2014, shortly before 8am, Gimli RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence in the Town of Gimli. Two males in the residence were arrested. However, one was not connected to the crime and was released.
While executing the warrant, RCMP officers seized close to 15 ounces of bud marijuana which would work out to 425.24 grams of marijuana hitting the streets.
RCMP report that a 22-year-old Gimli man was arrested and is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The man was actively selling marijuana to local high school students and had been the subject of numerous complaints.
