On February 18, 2014, shortly before 8pm, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP, along with local emergency services, responded to report of a collision involving a semi-trailer and tractor on Provincial Road 403, east of Provincial Road 216.
Police say that an eastbound tractor carrying a bail with a fork lift collided with a westbound semi-trailer which was hauling hogs. Both the 40-year-old driver of the semi-trailer, from Lorette, and the 55-year-old driver of the tractor, from RM of Hanover, were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that none of the animals were injured in this incident. The animals were transferred to another truck and taken to their destination.
