In the early morning hours of February 26, 2014, a masked, armed robber made off with a large sum of cash from the Ste. Anne Hotel.
Police say that one male entered the hotel after closing, produced a knife and demanded cash from the safe. The employee working handed over the cash and was tied. The employee was able to contact the police who attended immediately.
Local RCMP and Ste. Anne Police arrested a male and two females in relation to this incident in the RM of Ste. Anne. Fortunately, all of the stolen cash was recovered. Chief Robichaud says “This is an excellent example of police departments working together “. Last night the RCMP attended to assist us at the scene and today we are in the rural area helping them with an arrest. It’s encouraging to see how well our two police departments work together.”
