On February 22, 2014, just after 10am, Flin Flon RCMP received intelligence that an employee from a local financial institution in Flin Flon had embezzled a significant amount of money.
A police investigation was initiated and an internal theft has been confirmed. The full amount of money embezzled is not known at this time as a full audit is being completed.
RCMP report that charges have yet to be laid as the investigation is ongoing.
