On March 10, 2014, at about 2:30pm, Selkirk RCMP members were on patrol and observed a suspicious vehicle in the Creekside Boulevard area of Selkirk, Manitoba. Police investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
As police approached the suspicious vehicle, five young males exited and ran away. All five males were apprehended after a short foot chase.
During transportation of the subjects to the Selkirk RCMP Detachment, an individual flagged down police to report a robbery of electronics by males matching the description of those recently apprehended.
RCMP report that all five males are currently being detained pending investigation.
