Steinbach MLA Kelvin Goertzen says he is excited about the hiring of Lyle Bauer as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Manitoba Progressive Conservative Party.
“Lyle Bauer is someone who knows how to work with volunteers and he knows Manitoba. He will immediately be a respected voice in the PC Party and hopefully help us build upon a very strong base of volunteer support and financial support,” said Goertzen.
Bauer is best known to Manitobans as a former player, President and CEO of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He also served in a similar capacity for the Calgary Stampeders and started the Never Alone Foundation following his own battle with cancer to help improve the lives of those affected by the disease.
“We are building a very talented team of men and women who can not only help us achieve the goal of winning government, but help in the success of that government. Mr. Bauer brings much to the table for each of these goals,” said Goertzen.
