On May 16, 2009 at about 12:30 p.m. RCMP Lundar Detachment responded to a single vehicle collision on highway 6, approximately 5 km north of Lundar.
The driver of a pick-up truck, heading northbound pulling a utility trailer with lumber on it, lost control and rolled into the ditch.
The 60-year-old man driving the vehicle and his 60-year-old female passenger, both from Winnipeg, were injured from the collision. Both occupants were ambulanced to the Eriksdale Hospital. The driver was subsequently transferred to Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries while the female passenger was treated and released.
