Steinbach RCMP were alerted to a driver, a 30-year-old female from Winnipeg, who drove off the road by the Steinbach Heritage Centre.

Officers noted that the driver appeared to be suffering from an impairment but did not appear intoxicated from alcohol. With assistance from a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) from the Ste. Anne Police Service, it was determined that the female was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.

RCMP report that the female was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drugs and released on a promise to appear in Steinbach court.
