On April 30, 2014, at approximately 8:15 am, Steinbach RCMP received a report of an armed robbery at the Steinbach Credit Union situated on Main Street in Steinbach.
Police investigation revealed that an adult male had attended the Steinbach Credit Union ATM and upon exiting was approached by a youth male with a large knife demanding money. No money was given and the male suspect, dropped the knife and was observed running north on Reimer Avenue.
RCMP rerport that the victim did not sustain any injuries.
The suspect was described as caucasian, short dark hair, wearing a lime green Adidas hoodie and black pants. At approximately 11:55 am, the youth suspect was arrested in Steinbach without incident.
