Steinbach’s Summer in the City Festival Committee has announced that Canadian rockers Kenny Shields and Streetheart will be the classic rock headline artist at this year’s event on Friday, June 20, 2014.
Canadian rockers Kenny Shields and Streetheart will be headlining the 2014 Steinach Summer in the City Festival.
Streetheart is a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba that got its start in Regina, Saskatchewan. Some of their best known songs include “Action”, “Hollywood”, “Teenage Rage”, “One More Time”, “Tin Soldier”, “What Kind of Love is This” and their cover of The Rolling Stones’ “Under My Thumb”.
Tickets will go on sale May 15th and the festival committee will soon be announcing where the tickets can be picked up.
The 6th annual Summer in the City Festival will take place June 20-22, 2014 in downtown Steinbach. Scheduled is the return of the Friday evening car show, food vendors, artists and crafters, children’s entertainment, the midway and more. A bigger Cultures in the City display is in the works and Worship in the City, Sunday at 10:30am at KR Barkman Park, will feature speaker Phil Callaway with the Soul Purpose Worship Team.
