On April 29, 2014, just after 1pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to an accident on the Trans-Canada Highway, where a semi trailer had flipped. The accident happened approximately one and a half kilometres west of Portage la Prairie.
RCMP report that the semi had flipped and ended up in the median ditch.
Police say that the 24-year-old male driver appeared to be uninjured and initial investigation shows that high winds in the area at the time of the incident were a factor in the collision.
