On May 9, 2014, shortly before 7:30pm, Souris RCMP, along with local emergency services, responded to a barn fire in the RM of Glenwood, 6.5 km north of Souris, Manitoba.

Police say that the barn, which housed a combine, was engulfed in flames. The building and equipment were totally destroyed by the fire and damage estimates are not currently available.
RCMP report that there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
Police investigation, lead by Souris RCMP, resulted in the arrest of two female youth from the RM of Glenwood area. Both youth will be charged with mischief. They have been released to their guardians on a promise to appear with an undertaking, with conditions to attend court in Brandon on June 10, 2014.
