To help meet the demands of the trucking industry, United Transportation Driver Training will host a job fair and community outreach event on Saturday June 7, in Steinbach, Manitoba, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Recent driver graduates and current drivers looking for career options will have the chance to meet with recruiters from elite trucking companies in Manitoba and Western Canada and people who may be interested in entering this profession are encouraged to attend.
More than just a job fair, this community event offers food, and entertainment along with presentations from Steinbach’s Mayor Chris Goertzen and MLA Kelvin Goertzen, as well, the STARS helicopter will be landing.
“We are excited to combine this fundraising event for STARS with the chance to show off our new facilities and inform the community about our courses and employment opportunities,” explains Fred Hiebert, President, United Transportation Driver Training. “All proceeds from this day will go to STARS.”
Also in attendance will be representatives from ThirdQuarter, a free national recruitment service from people aged 45 and over.

Admission is free and all events will be held at United Transportation Driver Training, Highway 12 at Clearsprings Road, Steinbach.
