The Steinbach Manitoba Youth Job Centre (MYJC), located at 395 Main Street in Steinbach, is once again open for the summer months.
The MYJC is sponsored by Manitoba Children and Youth Opportunities in partnership with Eastman Employment Services, and serves the communities of Steinbach, Gardenton, Grunthal, Kleefeld, La Broquerie, Landmark, Marchand, Mitchell, Richer, Sarto, St. Anne, Woodridge, and Zhoda.
The MYJC is designed to meet the employment needs of students and youth, as well as the needs of employers who have vacant positions to fill. Students and youth aged 12 and up are encouraged to stop by the Centre to register with the program. Once registered, they can benefit from a variety of services such as resume development or improvement, interview preparation, and work experience opportunities including the Odd Job Squad.
Employers of all types, businesses and households, are also encouraged to drop by the Centre to use the free referral service if they wish to hire an eager, hard-working young person. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm and calls can be made to 204-326-4099.
