Parkland RCMP have charged 28-year-old Erlender Sigurdson of Dauphin in connection to a snowmobile fatality that occurred in January of this year.

On January 11, 2014, RCMP responded to a two-vehicle snowmobile collision that occurred on a snowmobile trail near Rainbow Beach in the RM of Ochre River. One 28-year-old man died as a result of the collision.

RCMP report that Erlender Sigurdson has been charged with impaired driving causing death. Sigurdson was 27-years-old at the time of the collision.

Erlender Sigurdson will make his first court appearance in Dauphin Provincial Court on June 17, 2014.
