On June 5, 2014, just after 2:30pm, Selkirk RCMP responded to a fatal collision on Colonization Road, east of Highway 59.

When officers arrived at the scene, a cement truck was on its driver’s side in the west ditch. The driver, a 41-year-old male from the RM of St. Clements, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say that the driver was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision. Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety was notified of the incident and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
