On June 13, 2014, just before 7am, Blue Hills RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a business in Wawanesa, Manitoba.
When RCMP began investigating, it was discovered that several more businesses had been broken into. In total, eight businesses were entered and a ninth business shows signs of a break-in attempt.
Police say that an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen and there were damages to all businesses as a result of the break and enter. Initial investigation shows that only cash was stolen.
Blue Hills RCMP were also called to respond to break and enters in Glenboro and Wellwood, Manitoba. There was one business in each of these towns that had been entered. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
It is unclear at this time if the Glenboro and Wellwood break and enters are related to the Wawanesa occurrences. RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact the Blue Hills RCMP at 204-726-7519 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
