On May 20, 2009 Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a complaint of an individual with a warrant driving in Portage la Prairie.
RCMP located the accused driving eastbound on Saskatchewan Avenue. The accused saw police, and pulled off of the road, he then left his vehicle and ran away on foot. The accused attempted to elude police by running through a nearby business, however, police were able to locate and secure the accused a short time after.
Duane Patrick Roulette, a 31 year old man from Long Plain First Nation, was arrested on warrants for two counts of assault and 2 counts of breaching probation.
Roulette will be held in custody to appear on May 21, 2009.
